The Passing of Christianity
Last week we met with Karen Fritschel, the Mayor of Stow, to ask about our standing with City Hall and the Stow police. The thing that’s so cool about these high school kids, is that they are setting a great example for us older folks to follow. They are radical about getting to know the Lord and telling others about him. They’re not afraid to stand up for what they believe, but they also are growing fast in their ability to love their friends, family and even their enemies. They LOVE to hang out together and talk about the Lord and they are involved in serving people all over the community, especially in inner city Akron. They are bringing people to Christ left and right, and it’s not because they’re in a creepy cult, but because they’re introducing people to the freedom available through a relationship with the Creator of the Universe!
Nice Wyld Stallyns example.
I agree – it is cool to see high school students coming to the Word bible study and excited about meeting God. After attending a meeting, one high school guy (a non-xian)couldn’t believe why Xenos was called a cult if all we did was have bible studies and hang out- it was almost like he expected us to do something crazy like drink yak’s blood after a meeting but we never did.
